FAQ
To be a registered Chemical Waste Producer, you shall:
Download and fill in the Application for Registration as a Chemical Waste Producer and;
Submit it to Environmental Protection Department (EPD) with supporting documents and application fee.
Chemical waste producers should arrange proper packaging, labelling and storage of chemical waste before transportation to disposal facilities.
Storage requirements for chemical waste:
DOs:
Packed and stored in suitable containers in accordance with specified standards;
Use Waste Label with the right dimension;
DON'Ts:
Mixing of different types of chemical wastes in a container;
Storage of waste at working areas is not allowed if the total quantity >50L
Remarks:
EPD’s approval is required when containers with capacity >450L are to be used;

Waste producers should appoint a licensed Chemical Waste Collector to arrange for the collection and removal of chemical waste. A waste producer can discharge its duty to arrange for proper disposal of its waste by consigning its waste to a waste collector.
An official document (trip-ticket) will be presented by collector. The waste producer has to keep one copy (red) as a record of consignment.

- General Chemical Waste (Waste Acids-Alkalines and Organic Solvents/Compounds).
